How to Pack Your TRAVEL Golf Bag - Traveling with your Golf Clubs!

I bubble wrap my clubs before putting on the rain cover then make bubble wrap each end of the bag. Extremely lightweight material and allows for flexibility when they throw the travel bag around ⛳

Really my biggest fear is the airline losing my clubs on a transfer or something like that. I’m going to Bandon in March and I’m keeping my fingers crossed everything goes smooth getting my clubs from point A to B and back. Thanks for tips

The airlines do a pretty good job these days. It’s when you run late for your flight that sometimes they don’t make it but give yourself plenty of time and you will be good! Merry Christmas, thanks for checking out the channel!

I am new to golf, going traveling with my golf bag next weekend. Seems like you do a lot of funky stuff. Perhaps the $30 travel umbrella/protector rod is good, then zip tying your clubs altogether in place rather than using a cloth. I feel like this was very makeshift for your specific setup.

I do use an actual Golf bag rod, but do virtually this same thing. I have done this now 6 times works fantastic! Zip typing seems overkill and would be a bitch to undo everytime... This "makeshift" method is great...

I would get a pole that is just a little bit longer than the driver to take most of the force during handling. Put the club in the middle section of your bag too! Good luck!

Definitely an option! There are a 100 different ways to pack your clubs. I could buy a hard case but I like the convenience of a soft case for storage when not using it. It’s the inference that I’m using something not designed for golf clubs that I don’t get. I’m pretty sure the bags sole purpose is golf! 😁
