I’ve got Motorcaddy Flight safe. Great bit of kit and under £200. Comes with a fold out stiff hood section that sits over the heads and creates a solid protective cube at the top of the bag. 4 proper wheels, so you can wheel it upright from the car to the bag drop. When you get to your destination or back home, the whole thing folds into itself for storage. Those flimsy cheap bags are not worth the saving and dragging a 2 wheel 20+kg bag about is a ball ache, same for ABS coffin cases, plus storage of those is also a pain. Had both and sold them off. As for clubs, mine all have covers, so no socks required. Kit is expensive, so why scrimp when for less than the price of a decent putter you can get proper travelling protection for them.

Take a picture of your clubs before you hand over the bag at the airport and if they are damaged when you arrive also. It will help with any claim you may need to make. Enjoy your trip and play well.

@nevillehubbard7347 Жыл бұрын
What you need is a broomstick with a tennis ball, cut halfway through on the end. You can then keep your woods attached in the bag knowing that the broomstick will take the brunt of any mistreatment! Seriously, this works!!!!

I insert my irons upside down to keep them from banging around. I also use a strong arm along with a plastic bucket over the strong arm with my bag rain cover over the bucket which holds everything in place. I would never check my clubs in without using a strong arm if I'm using a soft travel bag.

For an average golfer, my tip would be to contact the club you're going to play and find out what brand of clubs they hire out. That way you can test a new set of clubs on your holidays. Then just take the necessaries, shoes, balls, tees, a marker, pitchfork and your clubs are safely in your abode when you're on the road. Pro's are to picky and want their own. lol. Being left handed I don't want mine lost or stolen. As it would take time to reorder replacements. Or if you have the money use shipsticks,

Great advise for the golfers who aren’t overly bothered about using their own clubs abroad. Infact, I’m going to do a social media poll tomorrow to find out the percentage of people that hire / take their own. Interesting
