I've been selling on Depop for a year and have always used my own shipping (PirateShip). Is there any monetary benefit to using Depop shipping? As in less fees? Or do they charge so much that it scares buyers away?

How do you go about posting bundles?! Do you have to make a specific listing just for that person to purchase and then do it as free shipping?

Hey!💗 they DM me and I tell them to comment an emoji on each item post they are going to purchase and I will just apply the free shipping to each one. They then just add each item to their cart and checkout!💌

I agree depop shipping is outrageous. Do you feel like you get a bit more money to yourself when doing your own shipping? Is there a difference?

I feel in the long run I am finally getting sales again! Huge difference there! Sometimes a shipping label will cost $3-$5 on pirate ship so I’ll sometimes get extra there. Pricing everything $5 shipping is my safe zone. if it’s a heavy item I price $10-$12 to be safe!

If the label is already paid for, you can just drop off 🫶 this is the same thing with your depop shipping labels. They are paid already by you or your buyer when your item was purchased. You just need to print out , put on your package , and drop off ✨

Do you source/thrift all your items or do you ever use a wholesaler? I feel like it’s hard to have enough quality items every week if I’m out trying to source all the time. Do you have a system with # of daily posts etc for the algorithm to pick you up? Thanks so much

Yes I do international shipping! I always have it priced at $85 due to a lesson I learned 😭. Normally they always message me and I ask for their address info. I then get the shipping rate on pirate ship and give them the exact shipping price . If they are willing to pay , I then change the international shipping to their actual shipping price 🫶

You could use a P.O. Box or maybe a family members house 🫠 haha you do need an address just in case there is an issue and usps will deliver the package back to you 💌

I do ship worldwide! If I can ship through USPS/ pirate ship then it’s a yes! it’s so easy! I have the buyer give me their address info before purchasing then I’ll get a rate through pirate ship! if they are ok with the shipping cost , I input it on the item and I’ll just proceed like a would domestic💗

I always put worldwide shipping at $80 on every item I list , just to be safe. But they always just message me before purchasing and I’ll just do what I said above 👆

How do you get your payment when u ship with pirate ship. Cause I used pirate ship to send something through depop and it shipped to my buyer but on depop it still thinks I haven’t shipped it so I haven’t gotten my payment. What do I do. And my buyer said they paid the amount

You always have to input the tracking number manually into depop once you purchase the label on pirate ship. This is the proof depop needs so that they know you shipped it. Pirate ship has nothing to do with your payment . Once you add the tracking number into depop, your payment will be in the process of getting into your bank.

I always wash, lint roll, and sometimes iron items. I have sensory issues when it comes to certain fabrics, so I wash clothes with free and clear detergent. I don't use normal dry sheets, just these eco friendly dryer balls so there's no strong scents. If an item has been stored via my closet or storage box for a while, I will wash it again and ship it out the next day.

i was planning on using pirate ship, but with depop obvi we don’t receive the money til it’s shipped , so when i charge $5 shipping will i have to wait til it’s shipped to get the $5 for shipping and have to use money out of pocket to buy the label ?

Yes you have to buy the label upfront but you will be getting it back once your payout goes through from depop.

Aim for over 100+ items on your shop and try to list good items! Use hashtags on your posts ! I recommend selling for $32+ to make a good profit and hit those numbers to be a top depop seller , if that is your goal 🫶
