hey guys! just a tip, when she says shoe polish, she means shoe polish CREAM. If it's not the CREAM it's too waxy and wont spread like paint on your canvas, even if you torch it with a hairdryer haha...yeah, i may have gotten desperate ;-) and possibly ruined a canvas..ooops.. A canvas is never ruined until it's burned in the fireplace. Cover your canvas with gesso and start afresh. You can do it!

Thanks Stefanie for helping with the shoe polish. I did the polish wax one but you cant blend with it water and oil does not mix only did the glue parts so it wasn't so messy. I will do the cream part the next time.

Anyone who’s ever used a glue gun can tell you it’s not easy to get the exact line and place you are trying to get. I can paint better than I can use a glue gun. This is freakin awesome!

Any tips on a brand of shoe polish cream? The one I have tried removed the acrylic paint from the canvas when I was trying to rub off the polish. The paint had dried for about 5 hours by that time. Is there a trick on how long it needs to dry or a way to protect the paint? Should I have used gesso on the canvas first?

My question is won't the hot glue sooner or later just peel off the canvas. Because I have putting hot glue on certain things before and later on when it's cooled down you can just peel it off.
