I didn't find this useful. No closeups to show what was being done or the results.

I didn't have the equipment or the know-how to do that at the time, but this video does simulate the feeling of painting 6mm infantry in real life pretty well. You just move your brush around and see if you like the results.

You will find casting to a wide screen TV really helps watching anything covering smaller scale models.

Contrast paint is just so versatile. Having a bunch of 6mm infantry for Battletech to paint, really nice tutorial, thanks :)

I'm glad you found it useful! I'm so lazy with painting now due to Contrast. 😅

I didn't think of using contrast for 6mm. I will try this with my brigade models coming for BT

Just randomly found your video. I am also in Calgary. I also found those bases at The Dollar Store as well. They are great and cheap. Use them as well for my GHQ as well as my 1/72 stuff. LOL. Great minds think alike. Great video by the way. Keep up the great work.

I love that there are a generation of videos where people are using the "worst paint pots ever sold to a customer" as painting handles. It is like free advertising and a one-star review in one.

I was painting them for a badlands/desert force, but I labelled the video by the GHQ product. One gentlemen also pointed out to me that some of the groupings on the bases don't equal how they would have actually been paired, such as the machine gun and the binoculars.

I've been using the same technique. It really is effortless. The minis pop and look pretty good compared to ones I've spent hours on to get a very similar result. 😑

The time saving features of Contrast paint is maddening! But quite rewarding.

@@axanax2534Absolutely! I thought 6mm were tiny until I invested in 2 and 3mm troops. Now they are easy to paint.

The Dollarama. They have packages of 'Wooden Shapes' that are either round, square, hex, or heart and come in a variety of 20-30-40mm sizes in batches of 100. I've ended up with quite a bit of the 20mm sizes.
