Great work... This is one and only right on tutorial what ill found on youtube. Most of them are half doned and begginers cant realise to much... Especialy when they are work of famous world miniatures masterminds what is product of whole life expirience based on oil colors.... This video show right way in simple things with smaler palets of color aviable from Valeyo manufacturer what is simpliest amd less difficult then mixing various oil color and that is long experience way. Thx alot once again these video really improwe my work....

Excellent tutorial video (although I agree about the music!). Could you explain how you thin the paint during the painting stages - I find it very difficult to achieve the right balance between thin enough to paint fine lines or points but not so thin that it doesn't seem to have any effect! I see, off loading the brush is vital to avoid flooding and pooling (things I also achieve regularly...) Thanks again.

What primers and colours where used before you started the face painting? How do you keep your paints from drying up
@jaumeortiz47674 жыл бұрын
Hi Ralph!. I always prime the figures with Vallejo's Hobby Paint Black spray can
@jaumeortiz47674 жыл бұрын
I don't do anything special to avoid paint drying up. Adding some water regularly, paint remains wet the time needed to paint the whole face...around three hours

Hello David, painting faces requires sometimes to try again and again. Dont be disappointed, you can do it!! Try to mix a little of the last color with the next highlight reference until you have a lighter color if it helps 💪🏻👏👏

@@vallejocolors Hello, thanks for your reply. The video you mention is great, but it regards a 75 mm figure, not a 54 mm as the one on this video. So, I think we all agree that is much simpler to paint eyes on a larger scale, but the real challenge is to be able to paint eyes with such a fine detail on a tiny figure in 54 mm. And that was what I thought I would find out (How to paint a 54 mm face, the eyes being for sure the harder bit).
@mrdoohickey48243 жыл бұрын
Wonderful brush work. But the awful cheesy 60s porno music is a buzz kill for whole show. Silence is a great adjunct to concentration. The music adds nothing to your artistry.
@vallejocolors3 жыл бұрын
We're glad to know you like the painting process!
@gordonenquist363 жыл бұрын
Sorry, gave video a thumbs down, a skilled painter yes, end result a matte face in bland colors. A human face (skin) is oily as is leather and animals, they have a sheen. Acrylics are great for base-coating and uniforms (red coats don't shine). So I will stick to my oils and have realistic faces and use my acrylics for other purposes. Cheers
@KH-wy7le Жыл бұрын
Why can't you call the scale of the figure by what it is known globally as? Ie 1/35? Rather than this rediculous '54mm'.
@greenthousands Жыл бұрын
Because it’s 54mm or 1/32 scale. Conversion charts are widely available.
@csh5414 Жыл бұрын
Because the Figure is Historex or Andrea, who have been making metal figures in mm long before 1/35 etc. 54mm is actually 1/32, so you are wrong. Ridiculous comment based on ignorance.
