WOW! Joe, you paint the most realistic water and waves of anyone I've seen. I swear, I look at that painting and hear the waves crashing, smell the salt air and feel the water washing around my ankles while my feet sink in the sand. The way you paint the foam, with the shadow on the sand it amazing. You explain it so well and make it look so easy it makes me want to grab a brush. Thanks.

Hi Joe - I love sitting close to the sea watching and listening to the waves rolling - your painting of waves is truly made by a magician painter. You are amazingly good at observing the overall atmosphere and then catching the patterns of rhythms - this hypnotic painting of the waves with the sound of waves is very healing. There ought to be rooms in hospitals with paintings like yours. Thank you for your sharing

Alright Eric, I'm glad to hear that! Thank you for letting me know. I hope you do achieve work like mine and better. It's like learning to read. You start with letters and work toward recognizing whole sentences quickly. Knowing what your working toward is a big difference maker. Thanks for the nice compliment and for watching my videos.

Awesome Joe! I am planning to go to the Caribbean islands soon and would love to paint the beautiful scenery of the beach with its palm trees and all. You are a great help in accomplishing this idea of mine. I have not been a painter of much landscapes or beaches but mostly portraits. But I have come to a point in my life that I want to leave my interpretation of nature on my paintings. I am getting older and love God's Creation. Thank you for your sharing of your expertise and kindness.

Hello, Joe! I have a casual hobby in art and have been watching your videos for a few years now. A friend has just asked me to paint a whimsical, one-wall mountain scene in her daughter's room. I am excited for such a big challenge, but I am more accustomed drawing and painting very small scenes. I have recently been trying to draw on a larger scale, but how do I prepare to go from filling a whole page to filling a whole wall? Do you have any fundamental tips for first-time mural makers?
@muraljoe7 жыл бұрын
Foreground first saves you time on a large scale. Horizons look most natural at eye level. Trees go above the horizon if your at ground level. Those are three things that I constantly reference. I hope it goes well Anna! Thanks for watching my videos.

Well Taegan. I'm sorry it's been a week but to answer you, I think acrylic is the right choice. Wall paint is not all equal. I like Sherwin Williams for exteriors. I here Nova paints are fantastic as well.

If you do not show the whole way of painting it is better not to show at all because it is clear that you can not learn from it properly and the painting comes out badly. It's just frustrating.
