Having fun is so important! Keep it like that, when creating art becomes a ‘I must do this’ vs ‘I love to do this’ it has lost its magic and life.

Daniel, would you be willing to record a short-form video that is simply some zoom in views of the finished painting? I'd love to see some close-ups of a bit of the background, some of the feathers, and a bit of the tree branch. I'm interested in how painters can create the suggestion of texture simply through color and value, without relying on heavy brushstrokes for literal texture. Thanks!! PS: As someone who doesn't have access to an airbrush, I appreciate the suggestion of daubing on the thinned down paint with a sponge. Fantastic!

Hi Daniel I’m a pretty new sub and am loving your videos, thanks for generously sharing your amazing skill. I watched the bird underpainting video and just wondering why you didn’t adopt that technique here? The other painting had the white details marked in and this one seemed to start from a dark colour range.

Lovely bird 😊💙🧡. Some awesome tips and tricks. What surface did you paint this on? Or did I totally miss you mentioning that in the beginning 🤔.

I’m not being rude but we pay you by clicking and subscribing to your channel,I don’t have the money to be a patron,it’s not right when I’m trying to learn,and at the end I hear pay me and you can learn more,disappointed with this😔why does everything have to be about money,good ole America 😢
@Vrill3869 ай бұрын
It is not money. It is just subscription. People make no money from it. If you don't want or cant buy patreon then just don't do it. There are many free tut videos
@AppelmoesArtandPhotography9 ай бұрын
I get it, I don’t have much money either, but artists need to make a living as well. KZbin itself isn’t very generous to live from, unless you have millions subscribers and sponsors. It isn’t free for him either to do these tutorials, it costs a lot of time, money, materials and effort to create tutorials and courses in the first place, so it can’t be all free. It’s his job, and he likes to be paid for his job like anyone else. He offers a service, and services costs money. A contractor, architect, or a psychologist or anything else in that matter costs money as well, they don’t offer their services for free either. It’s the same thing, but for one reason the art business is a strange and difficult niche to live from, because everyone thinks it can be done for cheap or for free.

Normally the people who say they can't afford just don't like paying for stuff. If it was important to you I'm pretty sure you could afford his Patreon.👌
