This is the thing here... I wanted something more vintage and rustic... I think this will do it! Thank you!

Totally doing this! I bought a light boom stand with clips to hold reflectors and it can hold a drop cloth. So simple and economical.

I really liked both the idea and they way you presented it. I'm now off to find the Brazilian equivalents for each material...

I always wanted to do this, now that I’m getting ready for my studio, I’m going to make one,love the idea of the chalkboard paint.

Great idea with the drop cloth. I'll probably use a more rubberized type of paint for bending to transport it plus it would give thicker edge lines for texture. But fantastic idea using drop cloth!

Very cool!! Can the cloth be rolled up after painting without cracking? I’m looking for something I can easily transport. Thanks.

Does it have to be magnetic? Maybe all chalkboard paint is. Great video/tutorial thank you so much!

painters drop cloth? brilliant! except for I'll be painting a backdrop that will be part of a big, BIG painting. Man I'm stoked I happened across your excellent little video here, much better than the king-size bed sheets I was going to ruin! haha. THANKS for the idea! and who is that music playing in the background and end? I liked it!

Thanks! The one you made is exactly the type I've been looking for. Looks like it could retail for $300-$400 haha. So, thanks for saving me hundreds of dollars. I can't wait to get started on this project! 😁

Thanks for sharing! Did you prime it first?
@StarkPhotography5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeff! You don't need to prime but for this one I did paint over an old backdrop I previously painted.

I love this! So similar to the one I wanted to buy o line for $400!! Curious how you store yours and how it holds up to storage? I’m planning to roll mine not find it and was wondering if it will crack! Any input you have on storage would be awesome! 🙏🏻 thank you
@StarkPhotography4 жыл бұрын
I roll mine over a piece of PVC pipe. I store in my basement. I actually feel like it gets better with age :)

Do you have to steam the canvas first to get the wrinkles out?
@StarkPhotography5 жыл бұрын
I've tried ironing it - it kind of worked. Steaming I think would work better if you have one but now I just embrace the wrinkles :)

Chalk board paint may be highly allergic to some people. Do not touch your face or skin. Wear protective gear.
@stephanielane64405 жыл бұрын
You said chalkboard paint but the paint you held up to the camera was magnetic paint.
@StarkPhotography5 жыл бұрын
it was magnetic chalkboard paint - either one will do great!
