This recipe is absolutely amazing!!!!!! I live in high altitude 6000+ and we have a swamp cooler so the humidity is a bit high in our house. However I only had to add about a tablespoon extra of flour and the dough came out wonderful instead of using flour for my surface, I use powdered sugar and it worked great. I have tried so many recipes and every every single one has failed except for this one!!!!!! they are soft beautiful and delicious. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe.❤

So dainty! I have painted on cookies before Using egg yolk and squeeze bottles of food coloring. I painted on the cookies before I baked them. They come out like stained glass.

I just looove this idea! I actually tried this before, based on the previous cookie tutorial (thanks!), and can attest that it is super fun and very approachable, even for someone like me who doesn't do watercolor nearly as often as they want :D I painted wreaths and mistletoe and other christmasy stuff because I gave them away as christmas gifts (they were a big hit!), but now I really want to try the rose-and-leaf pattern of this video because it is so very pretty

I haven't seen your royal icing video yet, but maybe it's possible to heat the egg white over a double boiler like with swiss meringue. I'm really curious about it, because royal icing mixes are kind of expensive.

If you are painting with an alcohol it evaporates and dries very quickly!

I made a batch. First off, the recipe for the cookies is incredible. Maybe it's because of the sour cream. Really good. Also the frosting was easy. I had given up on making royal icing until I found your recipe. I got 40 cookies out of the batch but had to increase the frosting a little bit and still didn't have enough for the last two cookies. I used "Avocado & Watermelon" gels for the hand painted decoration. I will try and figure out how to tag you in Instagram. Currently I don't have a "tag" option in it. Thanks for doing this video and the other one with the green leaves.
