☕️ How to Paint a Cup of Latte with Watercolors

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to paint something a bit more cozy and since you guys enjoyed the coffee tutorial, I decided to do another one but with latte this time round and the addition of thumbprint cookies! Hope you guys enjoy this tutorial as much as you did with the coffee and happy painting everyone!

I have followed many of your paintings and i admire the easiness and lightness they have, there is no drama in your paintings and i like it, they fill you in with a positive and easy vibe. I can see myself painting for my children your paintings on a saturday late afternoon. This one is also a beautiful painting. I just have been thinking that to me the roundedness of the surface of the cup is maybe a bit too "round" for the angulation of the rest of the cup. I know is the foam that goes a bit extra over the cup edges but i think i would have lowered a bit the upper side, making the whole surface a bit more oval. I dont know, this is how it looks to me given the angulation of the direction of looking at it and the place where the margins of the cup "end up" under the foam. But maybe its just me. However, the colors and textures play is just my fav part, as always. You do have a vision. Congrats!

Yes you're right if the foam is higher it would make it rounder because it covers a bit of the rim, but It could also be the fact that I didn't add enough shadow on the side to lessen the roundness of the foam hehe so that's my bad xD Of course you can always adjust your paintings to suit your aesthetic, they're merely ideas for you to follow along to. Feel free to fix the positioning as well (I still have a lot to learn) :)) I'm so happy you find the tutorials easy to follow and something to relax to considering that's somewhat my aim for the videos to be ^__^

Fantastic Nia, Like always... all you art is Ts so inspiring... I love you art..the form did you describe each step from the process from you work. Each time I learn more an more and make more confident when I draw my Skizzes and when I am paintings. I didn’t paint to much beautiful like you, ok, just a little 😃 but you inspiration make to be inspired, Would like to paint all the time 😊I make me to much fun. I was looking for the Holbein paint and Daniel smith paint and it are to much expensive for my opinion, but I will buy it little by little. I change paper from time to time, But currently I'm stocked up with Canson XL, Canson Montval and Arto. You can find the paint and paper I use in the description box of my channel for specific ones. In terms of paint, I don't think you need to invest on too much, paint is just paint unless you want it for archival purposes (if it gets exposed to sunlight a lot), but since I like painting on my sketchbook, they've all lasted pretty well, even ones where I painted using hobby/student grade paints like pentel, koi or even reeves :))

She’ll that’s truth what you tell me, but near to near I, Invested allot money in paining items, I thing the cheap utensils are useful but not of quality. I was looking in the box information and read what do use in your paintings and some from it have in my storage but not the Paint, Paper and another things. I paint too on my sketchbook, I made some paintings after watching your video. The results are amazing 🤩 I’m starting a few months ago, I took up painting again but I had never painted with watercolors, the motivation was born since I saw some videos from you on KZbin. What I like most about your art is how you explain the whole pie it gets process. In Each video I learn new things an that motivates me to continued painting am make new project. Your voice is so confident and relaxing, it give me a lot of inner calm, I love it. Take care and send you a big hug 🤗
