thank you Kelly, if I were painting daisies in different colors I would put a darker blue on first then put lighter blue highlights on top letting some of the darker blue show in areas..think about your 3 values, dark medium and light, I hope that helps.

When you're painting with acrylics, is it the acrylic paints that you buy in a squeeze bottle (basic craft paint) or is there a better quality acrylic paint I should be using for this art project. I'm new to all this so please pardon my ignorance :-) I LOVE this video, by far the easiest to follow. You are a gifted instructor.

Patricia H - I'm not Allison, however I do paint frequently. There are several different brands out there as well as types. There are different thicknesses also. I find that I like medium bodied acrylics, because they're not as thick and expensive as heavy body, and they hold shape a little better than soft body (craft paint). I use Liquitex brand. It seems to be relatively affordable and decent quality. I buy the Basics line from Liquitex, but they also make heavy body paints if you find you prefer them. There is also Golden brand, but they are a bit more expensive. If craft paint is what is in your budget, use those! There is nothing wrong with that. It looks to me as if she is using medium body paints here, but she could be using heavy body with a bit more water. Hope this helps! 😊

I just go by small medium and large, because all the different brands are different, I could say a size 2, and your brand may be much bigger or smaller, as you can see in the video it's very small, the size of the one I'm using is 2
