Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1/2 inch flat bristle (large), #8 round (medium), #3 round (small)
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, raw sienna (yellow), burnt umber (brown), mars black, violet purple, burnt sienna (rust)
Other: palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the background with black, brown, purple and white
2. #8 round brush - Paint the outline of the horse with brown, rust, yellow and white
3. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the base coat of the horse with brown, rust, yellow and white
4. #8 round brush - Paint the first layer of facial features with black, brown and white
5. #8 round brush - Paint the second layer of the face with black, brown, rust, yellow and white
6. #3 round brush - Finish the eye with rust, yellow, black and white
7. #8 round brush - Paint the mane with yellow and white
8. #3 round brush - Sign with rust, yellow and white
