In this video, I show you how I painted a loose coneflower (Echinacea) using watercolors (and a very little gouache at the end). #watercolor #watercolorconeflower

So BEAUTUFUL! I dabbled in watercolor several years ago. Mostly have painted on wood, fabric, etc. This makes me want to learn watercoloring more. Such a beautiful medium! ❤❤❤

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was searching for a tutorial to paint a group of coneflowers, but this single close-up flower image that you have created is so gorgeous, I'm going to have to do it instead! Thank you.

More wonderful time spent with you. My paint, paper and brushes are in route. I've been combing online 2nd hand book stores and think I found about 20! I know, 🤪! They were really cheap. OK, so my ? is "What if you can't draw?" Thanks sweet lady, the coneflower is gorgeso and it was delightful watching you bring it to life. I am on the patio, hubby starts the vacuum, you say "Sorry for the noise". I had to laugh! ~Ana xo

Hehehe, that is funny about the vacuum! If you can't draw, then get some tracing paper and trace the images, it saves a lot of time too. Have fun, Ana! XX

This is so beautiful 💜 every minute very enjoyable to watch. And thanks for the tip on the hairdryer trick, it works wonders! There's nothing more frustrating than getting bits of your finished work ripped out, and washi tape is not strong enough. Thanks for sharing Kari 🥰

I’ve enjoyed your art for years and I am never in more awe than when you show and paint with watercolors. I can’t visualize the steps it takes to create the final art and each layer seems like magic. Another gorgeous piece of art. 🥰

Love the bloom Kari! I have used a sponge or a q- tip to remove some colour. But you are right it depends on the paper quality. Thank you for making it look so easy as well.

Thanks Isabella! Oh yes, you can use sponges and q-tips - as well as those magic erasers to remove paint, but yes, the paper has got to be able to withstand it. 💗💗

O. M G 😲 kari I'm stunned it's breathtaking you need to start selling these ... I really want to try this but I haven't been to the gym for a while and not sure if I'm loose enough for it 😆 in all seriousness I think I may start with one of your other projects and then work up to this , but I will be doing this when I'm ready 😊 xx

Thank you so much Tracey, LOL you need to do lots of yoga in order to be loose enough - I must say I struggle with it too. I am sure with some practice you could do a great job with this - oh and those new paints would be perfect too! 😊 💗💗

Thanks Debrah, I hope you do try it. Both the larger Geoff Kersey plastic palettes and the china daisy palettes, I purchased from SAA (The Society for All Artists here in the UK), but I think they can be found in many places. I hope that helps your search results! 💖💖
