this has got to be one of the best tutorials i've ever seen. no fancy super advanced methods. just simple to understand instructions.

When I have more time I'm going to watch moreo f your videos. My husband saw one of your videos and remembered one tip that he asked me to do when I was painting one of his Menoth war jacks. Bronze dry brushed over metal. Looked great.

You can really look out of the box in painting, really cool! For example crusaders in the middle east didn't have armor colored as cream, they had honourable bright metal armour. And the rust effect really makes it non boring. Great work!

@figureshobby2010 A cost effective substitute is to by chalk pastels in brown and black colors. Shave the ends with a knife to create powder. You can add water if you want, or give a dry smokey look just putting it on dry.

I liked the sound transition at the end of the rust application.

I used to wonder why she used the blue-green for corroding the brass parts. Then one day, while I was on the weather deck of my ship, I noticed that the ship's bell, which happened to be made of brass, had been covered very much like the brass parts of this warjack. That's when I learned how brass corrodes.

Hi Alexandra I think it looks really good. Very matt rust effect. I can see the benefits of using pigment powder. :)

washes are probably best for like terrain tbh, but that said I wouldn't shy away from them for model use by any means. If you can get a decent wash then use them :)

what box thing are you using to hold the model i like that... it looks like a old paint jar.. with duck tape on the bottom so it will hold the model from falling off.

Well now I know just what easy way to get rust effects on my ork trukk are. I just hope I can find this at some of the stores near me. Is it any specific alcohol or just rubbing alcohol. I'm not sure if isopropyl and rubbing alcohol are different that's why I ask.

If i want to do a chipped paint on here also - metal jack with the painted red color (possibly other) - and I want to rust it also - do you have a recommendation on how to do that" Which should I do first? and should I be more deliberate where I rust or could I rust over the paint/chipped paint and still have it come out looking good?

Very cool! Although I don't have the same aversion to the normal Protectorate of Menoth color scheme, I'm happy to see someone using alternate color schemes, because, unlike Games Workshop products, the factions of Warmachine only have 1 official color scheme, which makes for less variety in the game because different people with the same army often still use just the official color scheme. Thanks again for making cool video's, Alexandra.

Fantastic job. I also hate the white scheme for menoth. Even when done best while minis look strange and like they are unfinished.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question as I am very very new to these models, but can you actually play this model now? like I'm confused about if you can stray away from the colors they use i.e the red they normally use on the trim and use maybe blue instead? Will they still be playable?

It doesn’t look rusted. It looks like it has orange and brown camp painted on it.

@leoberger567111 жыл бұрын
I think it is ok but first you make is very rusty and the tin bitz you highlight very royal.That do not fit very good.

Yeah cryx not menoth. Menoth zealots treat their war jacks as holy relics.

get a practice model first.. so you dont mess up your main model.. is what iv always been told.
@InquisitorButtercup13 жыл бұрын
