I love your art! I’ll be starting a mural by myself for the first time next week and I was hoping you could tell me what type of acrylic paints do you use? I plan on using latex interior paint for the background, but have yet to find the right (but also cost efficient) acrylic paint that would be in budget but also work very well on a wall. My michaels didn’t have a lot of options larger than 8oz. They had Decoart Americana, Folkart, and craft smart, but I’ve never used any of those brands before and I’m not sure how they would do on a wall (interior). If you have any acrylic paint recommendations please send them my way! It’d be greatly appreciated❤

Yes. wear a mask whenever you can. Sometimes I forget but definitely wear it when you paint.

Amazing to see the process here. Really cool. Are all of your abstract projects as open as this in terms of prep of the image? It seemed like your mockup was pretty loose. The the client want to see a "finished' digital mockup before you started? Or do you just give them a general sense of what you're doing?

because most clients now my work well, I can do something really loose as a mock-up. For those clients that don't know me, ill do a more detailed mock-up with samples of previous elements in previous work that i want to incorporate into the design.

Yes I do. It's hard because its corrugated but the larger you able to paint the image the less details gets lost in the corrugation. also the primer made for metal is good to prime it with. to start

How did you find the pesticide sprayer/ the clean up of it? I just picked one up and wanted to know if it will last multiple uses using paint. Keep killing it!!!

its easy to clean if you clean it right afterwards (Use hot water). Its actually pretty pun to use. You'll have to water down some of the paints to do it those.

The measuring app is the one that come preset on Iphone now. its really helpful. All mural will take some time. I learned that the more prep you do the easier it is during the installation.

Hit it with as much primary as possible. That way you seal it, as well as smooth it out when it comes to the texture. Kilz2 primer is great for this
