How to paint a Necron Cryptek

The Necron Cryptek, riding its six-legged skateboard into battle! I started this miniature last year, and for some reason I failed to finish it! Finally, here it is! It's a great miniature, particularly the collar and the tabard bits on the front. Gold and Jade added to the Szarekhan Dynasty colours because I love Egypt and can't not do it.
The Miniature has been sprayed with Citadel Runelord Brass prior to the video starting.

I really don't get, why GW discontinued necron based shade...this video shows the continous necessity for the shade...

100% this. I think it’s such a great shade! It looks old and battered without any effort, and it’s only a couple of years old. Seems so odd to get rid to me!

I think this is the easiest way I've found to paint them so far, short from wet blending, but I know I'd make a huge mess of that! haha :)

Cheers Daniel, very much appreciated! :) It's the mystical forces at play, I swear! haha :) That's a toughie. I'm hoping i have enough of the Armourshade, I have about a pot and a half which should have all the necrons covered. After that though, maybe Agrax Earthshade Gloss (which is also going I think)... Will have to keep an eye out on other companies to see what they have. :-\ Will be interesting trying to work without it though! haha :)

I feel too much work is put into painting all these diff shades and colors when just painting carefully enough using 4 or 5 colors is the exact same result.

Hey there David, thanks for watching. :) If you can achieve the same results with 4-5 colours then crack on, would love to see the results! :) As with everything painting, use what is best for you as a painter. :)
