You look comfortable and beautiful Joni. I will have to this one as a two parter. First part before the boat, second part the sailboat after a breather. Looks challenging when we get to the sail.🌞 The painting has such a feel good feeling to it.

Joni, I sit for hours watching you paint. I’m a beginner and you make it look so easy to do. My biggest problem is that I over think once I finish an area !!! I don’t have the Will to walk away and end up ruining the entire painting. You have No idea how many of your paintings I have tried and every one of them end up being thrown out. I love this beach! it reminds me of Jamaica I remember sitting on the beach under a grass hut.watching the boats pass by .The coconut trees, and the sparkly beautiful water . So dreamy . So much fun! Beautiful painting! amazing lesson. thank you!

Hi Joan, welcome to my channel! Treated canvas means prepped/primed or gesso. Most canvases now a days come already double primed and do t need anything more👍

This painting grabbed my attention for the unique beach layout!!! (It was NOT the standard left-to-right layout usually seen in paintings!) I could not wait to try it. My attempt turned out pretty good, but I need work on my boat. Not sure how far to the right to move, my boat first ended up too short, then my re-do ended up longer than yours. Therefore, my "TWO SCARY LINES" are a little off, which highlights the lack of a mast. How can I correct the lines? They aren't so easy to remove now that they are dry. Do I need to repaint all of my water and beach area to redo the boat? Or, is there a way to "save" most of my efforts? Thank you for any and all help you are willing to share!!! Also, I have always loved the look of moonlight and the silvery cast it creates. Would you be willing to do the same beach scene with moonlight, so that I can learn how to create that look in my paintings? Thank you so much for the wonderful video.

Hi Joni. I have taken your advice and ordered from amazon. The one for Michaels is not available . It will be the right size too. This painting is beautiful. Have never painted a sailboat before. Never been on one before either. But would love to . Question: when you paint do you look at a reference photo? Something to go by? I find it very hard painting when I dont know the outcome. The final picture. Any advice?🇨🇦lefty x lefty eh!!!!
