BEAUTIFUL, DO NOT STOP PAINTING!..I am 74 and oil painted in the 1980's and quit like a fool, took it up again with acrylics in Nov 2022 (5 or so months ago)... 40 years and hand tremors, arthritis, failing eye have all reduced my skills, you are very gifted, continue making videos to encourage new artists....thanks again, I love ocean scenes (grew up in So. Calif)

I’m 75, just, lol & JUST STARTING LIFE I’ve been a spoilt brat all my life & never realized that it was GOD who gave me a gift in art. I gave my life to Jesus years ago,(ZERO RELIGION, because Jesus told me have nothing to do with any club organization or religion) Anyway, 2020, JESUS revealed to me that it was HIS GIFT 🎁… I repented in tears and am just starting to learn to draw, paint etc. What shook me up was realizing that He gives each of us Gifts/talents & He will judge us on what we do with them. In the parable of the talents, the one who buried his talent, GOD CURSED! Oh! My!!! I’m in trouble!!! So, I’m trying. The purpose of me writing you is although you stated a long list of good “reasons” why you can’t paint, if you’ll make Jesus your best friend, talk to Him 24/7 about everything. Repent just means change your mind, but do that forsake all you know is wrong and ask Him into your heart & life, you’ll find He is your maker, healer, guide counselor BEST FRIEND Who will never leave you nor forsake you. I was blinded (arcane from a plant went into/inside my eye)- fell in agony to the floor praised Him saying, You made me - I know I’m blinded, YOURE the only One Who can re -make me Please restore my eye… HE DID - it’s my dominant eye now. I had crippling arthritis in both hands- He healed that too! There is nothing he cannot do!!! He is no respecter of persons- He will do for you what Hea done for me & more. DONT QUIT!!! 74 is nothing! Focus on Jesus read bible 24/7 By audio bible on speakers I like Sir David Suchet audio on you tube. So, talk to Jesus. He is there with you now- really! He is alive real Heaven is real hell is real (it’s also default, don’t go there!) Jesus is the only way to eternal life. First Thank Him He has given you a gift in art, Ask Him please heal me as you have Jini, paint through me, restore the years the locus stole away. Renew my youth like the eagle 🦅 (Isaiah 40, I think read from there you’ll find it -read to chapter 44… John you MUST BE BORN AGAIN. ROMANS- we all need Jesus… wish we could get together to encourage one another. But whatever -- get born again Ask Jesus: If you want me to paint, show me the pathway to my healing, life, do whatever it takes… you healed Jini of MS…so many other things. Please do same for me. I feel old and broken but a smoldering reed You will not quench and a broken reed You will not break (something like that, look it up) If you decide to do these things, He will greatly bless you! Your very best will be yet to come. Please let me know. I’ll be praying for you! - love jini 😌

I have a front bedroom in my house. I made it into a studio with shelves along one wall. I can paint whenever because I can leave every thing out. I watch your paintings and get really excited to go paint by myself. I painted a picture for my Daughter-in-Law for Mother's Day present. The studio is my world to use the gift God gave me. I have been drawing since I was 7 years old. I am now 76 years old. I did a painting this week in 2 hours. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us.

First of, your paintings are amazing. I have learned a lot from each and every one of them. But to answer your question whether you talk a lot, I would definitely say no and don't change a thing. Part of what makes you so likeable and easy to listen to and follow is the continuous feedback about what you are doing. Your modifications and additions during the painting process are extremely helpful and they make the viewers feel more confident about changing things if they don't like them. Keep up the good work and God bless.

Lol, I thought the same thing .Then he said , he makes a heck of a mess . Like I do in the kitchen, but oh lord ,when I’m done it tastes fabulous! I understand the mess, but look at what we can learn . Justin if I could give you the greatest tip as to why we want to see ,it’s like school. Some are very visual learners , and others can interpret your movements or the way you talk it out . So you don’t talk to much ,because there’s people out there that need that . I prefer it . For those who don’t,they can turn sound down . I’ve heard the plastic that comes with the canvases, use that to mix paints ,and liquid white. I don’t know the difference between magic white and liquid white . Perhaps there the same . I ordered liquid clear ,and I was supposed to order Bob Ross oil medium. Oh well I’ll have to learn to use sparingly. Love the paper towel idea Justin . I was terrified of cleaning them because I do have lung issues. Great to know I can clean them with baby oil ,so I’ve been told.,with a pot scrubber at the bottom. I’m going from acrylics,so this is going to be a challenge. Thanks for the tips . I don’t have ingredients for liquid white . Only white paint and Gumbach linseed oil .

I tried this, got 3/4 of the way through with my painting, frustrated all the way, before realising that part of the reason it wasnt working as well was because its OILS not ACRYLICS lol. I had searched for Acrylics and settled on this tutorial. I feel better about how it turned out now, not bad at all (my fella was impressed and he's a surfer). So thanks very much for the thoughts out loud Justin. I cant help but think it would be easier to paint a left handed break for a right handed beginner though, especially with 'you get 1 chance' acrylics. Would be handy to be bale to flip these tutorials - oh wait - I'm gonna try it again watching through the mirror.
