I just started using watercolors and this tutorial thought me a lot! So much I kinda outgrown my basic set I bought for 2€ and made me willing to invest in good quality watercolors asap. I am studying Agronomics and an assignment about ecological monitoring of a natural area made me wonder about drawing. Watercolor and botany goes hand in hand. Hi again, this turned out beautifully. I ended up ordering more hot press paper even though the fiasco with the tainted Arches hot press nearly had me against it lol. I'm loving hot press almost as much as cold press now. I just have to get used to how quick the water absorbs. Anyways, I'm not sure if you take requests, I just realized that you haven't done a Luna Moth yet and I think their beauty would go perfectly with your style painting. (Plus they are my favorite critter lol) I know you must be swamped with requests so I understand if you cannot. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and amazingly beautiful talent with us all. And thanks again for the help a while back with the hot pressed paper issues I was having. Hi Stacy, thank you so much and I'm glad you didn't give up on a paper☺️🌷(This is when you ordered it from Amazon correct? ) I used to paint only on Hot Pressed and then the more I got sucked into watercolors the more I started trying out other types of papers,. Today I just love all of them equally haha HP, CP and Rough. Butterflies are actually my theme for one of the next teachable classes but I will probably end up painting something for youtube as well😅🌷

@@mariamorjane You remember correctly! Thankfully, Amazon made it right. I agree, I am starting to love all of the papers as well.. I recently tried, and fell in love with the Winsor and Newton 100% cotton cold pressed block. It's an amazing paper that holds up incredibly well, and stays flat the entire time even. Have you tried it yet? I will look into your teachable classes. I have never taken a class before so the butterfly one sounds like a great place to start. Thanks again Pretty Lady. Hugs
