THANK YOU for showing your palette with the colors/pigments overlay. It helps so much to see how you mix what colors with what water, and then see what happens/you do what you do. Many other watercolor folks on KZbin just show the brushwork, but the other important stuff (for beginners at least) is off-screen.

I have only been painting with watercolor for 8 months. I use to paint landscapes in oil for about 13 years but have always wanted to learn watercolor. Plus it took so long to clean the brushes as well as dealing with the fumes. I have always read that watercolor was very difficult but you make it look at least approachable for a beginner. LoLs. Thank you so much for showing the paints that you use as well as using a shade of pencil in order for us to see how you draw things as well. @@paintwithdavid7279 David not sure where I went wrong, except that I need to go out an buy a TINY (what size) brush for the fine lines of the trees. It seemed even my tiniest brush didn't do the trick. I wish I could send you the photo and you could tell me where I went wrong. I was making a card to send to my cousin who was just diagnosed with brain cancer and thought this would look like him and his wife Jill "on their journey". Again sure wish I could send you my painting so you could tell me where I went wrong. It is nice but not as nice as yours (or others I have done). Hmmmmmm?

well..u can use round brush number "000". Make sure that when u try tree branches there will be less water in the brush. and i also pray for your cousin and he/she will be fine very soon.

I like how everything is clear and easy to see. A lot of water color tutorials, as great as a lot of them are, it's hard to understand what's going on. With yours, the sketch is dark, the colors are clearly labeled and I can clearly see what colors you are dipping into. Thank you 😊❤️
