How to paint a tile using the Cuerda Seca painting technique!

This is a little time consuming technique, but very satisfying and rewarding. I will be working on a larger painting project and I will share my results with you.

Yes and low fire, they told me not to fire hotter than a cone 04. You can also make your own tiles. I just wanted to try it first and they had them at my local ceramic supply store.

I like Skutt, but you need to do your own research and figure out what’s available where you live. Also if you buy at a local pottery supplier, you’ll avoid the high shipping cost.👍🏻❤️

Yes I add a few drops of water to make them flow easier and also to work better with the oil resist. If it’s too thick, it can go over your line work.👍🏻
