Love your work. I have a question. I tried Cuerda Seca on a small tile, but if you can help me solve a problem. Using Stroke and Coat and color pooling after piece was fired on Porcelain clay at Cone 5, even though I made sure to saturate the area. I did use the fine liner tool attached to my 2 ounce stroke and coat bottle. Do you think I would get better results with a brush. Or thinking maybe I put too much glaze Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.😊

@@mols001 if the glaze is pulling away from the line work, it’s usually a sign that your oil mixture has too much oil on it. I never used the applicator bottle for the line work, I like using the thin liner brush for the line work. Also you really have to work the black iron oxide into the oil, mixing them with a spatula until it’s of a creamy consistency. I hope this helps.❤️🙏🏻

How long after apply the lines do you wait to start glazing.

@@nhtoaz I only wait about 30 minutes to 1 hour, but the oil never dries. You have to be really careful not to touch the line work, or it will smear.

Nice platter. If you decide to use it as a birdbath white may not be a good color choice. It will always look dirty outside.

Beautiful. I have 2 questions 1. The hollow base for the flowers, doesn't it create air bubbles inside? 2. With what did you write the letters/words. Thank you so much 💓

@@sara2010M thanks Sara! I make my sculptures hollow without any holes and I’ve never had it explode in the kiln. As long as you wait until it’s bone dry before firing, you won’t have any issues. I used Mayco Designer Liner to make the letters.👍🏻💕

Thank you so much Sheila. Our winters are short, however we do occasionally get below freezing temperatures and maybe some snow. I have done all the landscaping myself and my garden is less than 3 years old. I do love gardening just as much as I love making pottery.🙏🏻💕
