I have also used multi-surface Frogtape, found in the painting section of Menards and such. Works great and doesn't damage the paper either.

Wow! what a beautifil idea to have such a background. It makes it very precious. Your red flower has lots of strength, but soffened through the background, somehow makes it fuller and gives it more depth, very naturally. The gentle dots in gold, complete this absolutly beautifully. I just love it!
