Cinnamon...I have been studying hard for a DMV test that I failed the first time and so I have not been painting. Well I watched you paint this adorable kitty and just absolutely fell in love with it! I went to Amazon to get an 11 x 14 frame and a couple of brushes I needed yesterday and waiting for them to come in and will paint between study time and told myself to take my time painting it...but it is one of the most amazing paintings I've seen you do and how clever you laid it out on the canvas! I have only used tracing paper with carbon paper as opposed to the transfer paper you used. I am a new painter... What are the benefits to the transfer paper? Is it that the marks do not come out that dark carbon color only? You have taught me SO much in the less than a year that I have been painting, thank you so much!

Cinnamon, I think what I love most about so many of your paintings are your beautiful, magical backgrounds. And omigosh, I just noticed you're wearing a T.A.R.D.I.S. around your neck! Do you have a favorite Doctor? I started watching Doctor Who with the introduction of the 9th Doctor. I probably enjoyed the episodes with the 10th Doctor and Rose the most but Christopher Eccleston is 'my' doctor.

I really like to have fluid acrylic paint in white and black for strong yet fine line. Like when I have to do a little really fine lines but I need high coverage. You can get by without it but I will say it does make my life a lot easier.

I use procreate, sketckbook, and adobe Fresco - luna is the one that makes digital brushes the best and she uses Procreate but you may want to check a digital painter for more advice for it too as its a pretty deep world you can but brush pack other people make online too and some teachers sell brush packs - hope this helps some

Glazing isn’t “cheating” but why not just paint it in the colors you wanted/needed in the first place? Doing so teaches you to mix/use the colors you need in the first place, which give you a better eye for the colors I’ve seen artists that make whole entire paintings is white, then glaze over it, and it’s just like why not just paint it in the original color you needed?! It teaches you to have a better eye for what you’re doing.
