Absolutely glorious! Love the cloak and lightning on the blade. I have a few Custodes from the Prospero box set that still need to be painted. This is perfect. Thank you!

Is it a good idea to prime Custodes models with the Retributor Armor spray from GW? I've always primed models with the GW Black but with the amount of gold on the Custodes, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to prime them with Retributor Armor spray.

Hey Tehstampede, thanks for watching. :) I do, If I can spray a miniature in the majority colour before I start I do. Gold on Custodes and Stormcast saves a lot of time painting later on. :)

Cheers John, very much appreciated! :) Always wanted to paint some so picked up a box - so detailed, but really nice when finished! :) Pre-paint ritual, it depends on the state of my desk. I use it for work (hybrid working at the mo), writing and painting, so depending how it's been left I'll clear space to paint, organise the paints I'm aiming to use - if it's base coating/shading I'll put them in a row left to right, with the right hand paint being the first used. If it's recolouring and highlights I'll put the three paints in a row, with the next three behind them, and so on. I'll then procrastinate, sometimes for a good hour before finally picking up the brush and cracking on. :) Sometimes finding something to watch is the problem. Working my way through the FBI Files on Prime at the mo. :)

Cheers MJ, very much appreciated. There’s a vid on different shades for gold I did a while ago that shows the different effects you can get by changing them round. I like the darker shadows on gold, but I know a lot of folk like Reikland Fleshshade :)
