How to Paint a Custodes Telemon Heavy Dreadnought

Join me as I paint the Adeptus Custodes Telemon Dreadnought. This model has been a joy to paint. I love the way the gold turned out and the way the blue shoulder pads complement the gold. This color scheme can easily be applied to your standard Custodes guards or any Custodes model.

@@TheMiniatureManager There's a creator that is doing high end proxies in his own style for them. Surrogate Miniatures. last month was the basic guard, praetors, and the new bladeguard champ. this month will be the allarus, allarus captain, and the jump troops.

Great job! The gold painting technique woulwoek wonderfully with other custodes figurines like custodian guard right? Or would you recommend a different approach? If you ever paint custodes troops in the near future that would be awesome! Thank you so much!!

You can easily use this method on any custodes unit. if you want more control over the Gahennas gold you could manually layer it on if you wanted rather than dry brush. this might be better for smaller gold armor panels. I do all my infantry in the same colors as this tutorial and they have turned out great.

@@TheMiniatureManager Oh no I'd actually much rather dry brush to gain a lot of time doing that. I'll try it out. Thanks ! (tbh it's mostly because I don't own an airbrush and don'th have the budget for it xD ). Say, if you don't mind me asking: could I also paint a Calladius the same way or do I NEED to have an aibrush for vehicles? It would be awesome if I didn't. Thanks again.

@@valaquenta220 I don't own an air brush. You don't need one for any of these projects. I will recommend spending the money to get the gold spray primer as that saves you tons of time on larger vehicles for custodes. Everything beyond the primer I do with standard brushes.
