I've already seen enough Primaris in the colors of the Astral Claws, I'm not surprised if they are officially returned. There is a precedent: Soul Drinkers. There are also a lot of them as Рrimaris were made by fans before.

I highly doubt it, as they've been very much declared Excommunicate Traitoris and now call themselves the Red Corsairs. While the Soul Drinkers have always stayed loyal, even after their condemnation at the hands of the Inquisition, the former Astral Claws are, to this day, an active renegade chapter; and turning to Chaos renders them beyond redemption. Those Primaris surely look cool, but they'll remain fan-fiction, as I cannot see them return as loyalists officially. It would also cheapen the narrative of the Badab War and its consequences of Imperial inefficiency and zealotry.

Good stuff! Really strong scheme, those blue pads really pop next to all of those metallic details. Can't wait to see what's next, there are so many cool chapters in the Badab War setting. Wild schemes like the Mantis Warriors & Lamenters then insane opportunities for kitbashes like the Exorcists. (There isn't a day that goes by that I don't kick myself for not picking up the boxed set of IA 9 & 10 I saw in the wild at a games store in Atlanta a few years back).

This looks great, this is like the high end of tabletop standard, bordering display. I really do hope GW doesn't ever get rid of firstborn marine kits, maybe even upgrade some of them (but that's asking too much). There are so many fantastic marine characters, stories, and campaigns to bring to life in the time between the Horus Heresy and the coming of the primaris marines, the Badab War with Lufgt Huron his Astral Claws and other chapters, Talos Valcoran and his Night Lords war band, the Blood Angel Arkio etc. You did a very good job at bringing to life Sumatris and have given me a few ideas of little projects like this to try out in the future

For the quick masking (especially for shoulder pads, while airbrushing) I've been a huge fan of Silly Putty (yep, the toy). Goes on and off easily, doesn't ruin paint job underneath. Can reuse over and over.

I've used silly putty and the commercial hobby versions (AK I think) and they work well. Downside I've found is that it moves, so it can creep away from edges or where you need sharp definition - particularly if the environment is warm. For a single model as Henry is demonstrating, it might work okay, but for army painting - if you mask up a squad - you may find it's not where you left it when you've masked everything.

Gorgeous! Hahaha! I've broken a projecting part of a model a few times. My favorite model I've painted is a Dark Angel's kitbashed captain that I put a lot of time & love into. I'm so happy with how he turned out. Unfortunately, his sword is secretly superglue back together due to a drop. Thats okay! It adds character!

4:05 Duraluminium, my favorite Metal Color series mid tone silver/metal. From my testing it' has a very good ratio of being reflective while not being overly bright.

This looks fantastic. I also think sometimes the move towards more display finish detracts from the look. To me, this is as close to the ideal outcome as you could hope for. Nice tip on the latex too - I've not seen that before!

I though of one change to the process showed in this video. What about gloss varnishing before the mask step? This way you don't get gloss varnish on the metals and the shoulder pads are a little more protected against the masking. Don't think it matters a whole lot, but also don't see a downside to it.
