I'm finding it really interesting how you're bucking the miniatures painting tradition of how black armor has to always be mostly black as opposed to your highlight colors taking precedence, and I like how this turned out. Hi as a new painter I absolutely love your guides! So informative and easy to follow. Quick question, I noticed that you rapidly press the trigger on your air brush when applying your layers. How do you achieve this? Are you constantly pulling back at the same time? I have the infinity Cult Of Painting with a 0.4 needle but I constantly get dry tip. Any advice would be really appreciated as I feel like giving up at times!

I press the trigger down and a little back, so I control the airflow. A trick so that the paint does not dry adds a little retardant medium or flow; these products help the paint not dry.

your painting technique & airbrush control is just incredible, always an absolute joy to watch! I’m just starting up a paint job on Archaon, from the AoS line, and think this technique would be perfect for his armour - will be great to see the NMM gold too, as I wanted to try my first nmm on him too. Ref to the purple, is there a specific reason you use the Nocturna set? I don’t really have many purples, but also didn’t want to buy a whole set for one paint, I can’t wait till the end of lockdown, I’d love to book in some airbrushing lessons too!! Definitely learn from the master

Otro vídeo maestro. Yo suelo pintar figuras históricas en metal, donde los paños y las superficies son mayores. No hay tanta arista. ¿Podrías comentar algo sobre ello? No se alguna vez has pintado este tipo de figuras y si las técnicas de ointadonson similares. Magistral como siempre.

Hola Antonio Si esas figuras no tienen tantas aristas, lo que tienes que hacer es trabajar los planos de luz y sombra, es decir, marcar muy bien los volumenes superiores ( arrugas altas por ponerte un ejemplo). Otra cosa a tener en cuentas es ser bastante "fino" al aplicar las capas ya que estas minis a ser mas grande se va a notar mas las pinceladas.

Me gustaría que subieras un video (o explicaras en alguno que hagas) sobre como pintar cuando las figuras tienen muchos detalles escondidos, por ejemplo en Abaddon la parte de detrás del cuerpo, la capa etc... A mi me ocurre que con los Nighthunt de Games Workshop me cuesta mucho las zonas de dentro de las capas. Very interesting. First off, Pale Blue Grey is my favorite color of all time, so good job choosing that. ;-) Secondly, I'm wondering about your technique here. You very carefully laid down 3+ coats of airbrushed blending, then did some nice glazing, but then cover up most of the airbrushed areas with stippling. That surprised me. Isn't this negating most of the work you put in with the airbrush? I can't argue with the results, it looks great, but it did have me wondering about that.

Good question. I applied highlights with the airbrush to get a quick light, but then I brush the highlights with stippling since I wanted to give it that effect. If I did all that process with just a brush, it would take much longer.😅
