Ciao.

What PSI do you start do you start with and do you decrease pressure with each step? I find I need 30 - 40 psi to avoid splattered coverage. Also do you have advise on keeping primer from pealing off the subject, also does paint temperature help?
@AngelGiraldeZ4 жыл бұрын
I use 21'75 -26 PSI (this is 1.5-1.8 Bar) for pressure, and I don't need to change it, but the pressure depends on many things so use the best it works for you! About the paint temperature, I've been painting in very dry and hot places and also others with high humidity and very low temps and they work fine every time. I cant assure you this is a point to keep an eye on, sorry :(

Hi such a great video. One thing ive wondered a while when watching airbrush videos is how long each layer needs to dry. In all videos people seems to put the next layer on pretty fast. Thank you, very good tutorial I will try with thinner layers next time. Hopefully with better results. I think I don't entirely understand why do you always click the trigger so quickly and so many times instead of just pushing for a moment to finish some of the bigger layers. Of course final highlights needs bigger precision. Also am I understanding correctly that I should move the airbrush in the direction of the brightest highlight - just like with the standard brush?
@AngelGiraldeZ5 жыл бұрын
yes, I use the airbrush like a brush, and yes I click the trigger quickly because for me this way is better

Excellent video, thorough and clear, many thanks. I discovered many things throigh one year of practice, hopefully I see I get most things right but I still need more practice. I wish I had found such a video when I started. - I use a 0.2 needle and also use a brush with cleaner to clean the needle in between, though I don't use my Artist opus brush for this;) Do you think that the amount of flow improver might helps reduce the clog on the needle? - I tend to mix directly in the cup, especially with the air range and single colour, though I recon mixing in a blister is better obvioulsy for the reasons you explain. I have seen some peoples intentionally creating bubles in the cup, by blocking the nozzle with a finger to mix the color. I'm curious what do you think of this? - Do you use standard water or demineralized water for thinning?
@AngelGiraldeZ5 жыл бұрын
Arsen Marek thanks mate🙏🏻. hahaga I use an old artis opus brush 🤣. I'll record a video how to use the flow so you can see better the advantages😉. Yes, I saw that method and each painter has his trick but for me I prefer to use a blister because sometimes the paint has lumps and if you mix in the cup..... I'm very sure if I could get a good result😅

Thanks for sharing your experience. QUESTION: how much paint you waste during color preparation? it seems a very small quantity goes into the airbrush. Any sugestion on how to avoid excessive waste? Thanks

I waste very little paint as I add enough water or thinner, but you can put excessive waste in an empty pot
@ronaldrobinson22205 жыл бұрын
Does thinning out game color primers to use in the airbrush work too? Or should I try to find a primer made specifically for the airbrush? I don’t understand all the science behind primers vs regular paints and don’t want to do something wrong to the primer to make it less effective.
@AngelGiraldeZ5 жыл бұрын
Ronald Robinson if you use color primers I recommend you add 1 or 2 drops of water or thinner, these paints are thinner so you don't need more drops but if you use MC, GC, citadel etc you hace to add more drops of water so you will get a good dilution
