Love you’re painting tutorials man! I’ve had a chaos knight sitting in the pile of shame for about 10 months now was recently inspired to paint it. Going to do my take on the gilded king. Gold panels with black trim. I’ve painted a few imperial knights so far and was able to put the top carapace on and take it off over the exhaust stacks so I did the same thing with the chaos knight and couldn’t get the floating carapace off so I had to chop the tiny green exhaust stack off the very back to get the to piece off

For what it's worth, I LOVE Vallejo Air white. It goes on so much smoother than any GW white paint and it barely needs thinning.

Looks great. Colors I wouldn't have considered. I'm working an Errant and a Styrix. I'd be interested in how you magnetized those arms.

Thanks Jonathan - pretty straight forward - I'll try and explain! The cylinder that attaches the shoulder to the arm has a connector that the arm wraps around - cut this off so the surface is smooth - add a small bit of plasticard over the gap and add a magnet - I used a 4mm x 2mm I think In the socket for the arm, put some putty (i used milliput) and push a magnet into it (making sure it's the correct polarity) and then connect the shoulder magnet - push down until the arm fits into the socket Pull the shoulder out - both magnets should come with it - simply seperate them and put one back into the putty, making sure it is flat and still has the correct polarity Does that all make sense? I hope it helps!

How do I do a small slaanesh logo on the leg pannels and top body logo on a chaos knight ?

Easiest way would be to use a decal - there is bound to be something suitable on the new chaos decal sheet - otherwise you can try and free hand one - use dots to outline the shape the join them up - make sure you try on paper first. Hope that helps

Army Painter's "deep tone" looks a lot like a combo of nuln oil and agrax, and it's also really cheap.

Not sure if you did one or two coats of the gold. I used the Lead Belcher and the army painter paints seems to push around. Maybe two coats is needed

Do you paint on the leadbelcher after you use the black primer or use another coat of leadbelcher primer.

I use the can of leadbelcher - thin coats are key

Yes pretty much - i also find it leaves the silver a bit shinier than over plain plastic

Do you have a tutorial for Black Templar Knights cause my cousin gave me one of his imperial knights so I could have an imperial black Templar Knight in my chapter

I'm afraid not - although I would offer this advice 1. Use the same parts for the skeleton from this tutorial, but leave off the agrax earthshade 2. Use the techniques from my Black Templar video for the armour 3. Use the gold techniques from my Celestine video 4. Use lots of transfers to add character Hope that helps!
