I love the silver/metal under the marine armour. I wish I had those instincts when I was a teen warhammer player. Also I've never had contrast paints but daaaaymn. When I run out of paint I might buy some. O and I think I might have lost it with the fact that you're painting a black templar with black templar - it was very entertaining in my odd brain hehe.

Great tutorial! I was wondering though, towards the end when you skipped the three layer paints for the banner is yhe tau light ocre paint for the aquilla or the sword?

Yep any brown paint that looks a little gold will do the trick. Glad you like the video.

Hey dude. So I've been following your tutorials for the black templars for my own ay and everything has been going great! But for some reason when it came to Grimaldus. The black Templar contrast paint has come out super glossy. I was wondering big you have any idea why that might be?

The only thing I can think of is the pigment and medium have separated. Maybe you didn’t shake it enough. Do you remember?

So, you spray it first with chaos black and then with leadbelcher? Or how was that meant at the beginning? I am still trying to figure out the best way to paint black armor

Yes! The leadbelcher spray under the black contrast gives a metallic look to the black armour which suits black Templars, but not every black armour if you know what I mean? you can brush on leadbelcher if you don’t have the spray can though!

@@MediocreHobbies But why do you spray on the Chaos Black first, and not just a coat of Leadbelcher? Is it because Leadbelcher spray does not work like a primer?
