Showing the stages side by side is great - I wish all artists did this. I can pause and work up to the next stage - this gives me something clear to aim for.

OK, that is impressive. Up close, the blends and brush strokes are apparent, but looking at the whole picture, it looks very tight, the only give away that it is watercolor is the shadows on the table surface. I like the demonstration of the lifting technique, as well. Very nice.

Loved this little study, and found it a nice simple painting to get into as a break from large and complicated still life(s). I think a grouping of several of these small studies would be beautiful together on a wall - especially in a kitchen!

Anna, your artistry is glorious! I’ve been following you now for a few months and have taken a few of your classes on Skillshare. Every time I see one of your paintings I am impressed with the way you treat light, detail, layering colors and color selection in every piece you render. Your art is very easy to identify because of this. I want to sincerely compliment you. You are wonderfully talented, and a true artist in every sense of the word. Thank you for blessing me with beauty. Also, I once heard you mention that English is your second language. You were concerned you weren’t pronouncing some things accurately. I assure you did so and I was stunned to learn that English wasn’t your native tongue. The very first time I heard you speak I honestly thought that because of the quality of your voice and the enunciation of the language you easily could be an announcer or something of that nature. You speak beautifully whether English is your first or hundredth language! You are also an excellent teacher. You are clear and present information precisely in much the same manner as you layer color- precept upon precept. 🍒🖌🎨

Lovely demo Anna. Can I ask, was the surface wet at all times, so that the colours blend without hard edges, or did each shade dry and then you glazed more colour on top, blending out the edge with a damp brush, again to avoid edges? I have a lot of confusion over glaring and adding later detail and avoiding the dreaded cauliflowers.
