Those grapes look delicious! Thank you for giving us a video where we can see you painting real-time. It is sooo valuable to see how long we have to work with the colors before we need to let it be. By watching tutorials like this I’ve realized that I have longer than I think, sometimes 😊 It’s really a fine-tuned balance 😊

Thank you very much Nora 💞 yes painting in a realistic style, building layers gradually is essential :) thank you for your lovely comment

love your channel! when I paint I get frustrated by spending so much time and seeing barely any progress since it takes a lot of time for the layers to build up. I usually mentally give up about one or two hours in, depending on what I'm painting and how it's going, and from there I just keep going mindlessly, the only way I can describe it is as a long, defeated sigh. and suddenly the painting is there. All done. And beautiful on top of that! it's the last half an hour to hour that I spent in excitement again as I do finishing touches and realize that I did this with my own hands. and honestly, I'm fine with it being that way! (this only happens with bigger paintings/projects or stuff that's supposed to be pretty realistic)

Oh yes that " ugly" stage is very well familiar to me too. I think most of the artists struggle with that. That stage separates the once that give up and those that persevere and succeed. I often have an urge to give up at that stage and think to my self, just finish it Egle and than judge the artwork and most of the times I am happy with the results once it's done :)

Your work left me speechless. May i know which paper you work upon, which allows so much layering??😊
@joykruczay2 жыл бұрын
Just found your fabulous channel. Thanks ever so much for sharing your talents and knowledge with the world! Your unbelievable talent and skill really is outstanding. My efforts at layering often result in over worked and muddy results. Water control and paper wetness stage is so very important. I would prefer no music, or music without vocals, as your teachings are the important thing, not music.
@eglekolevart2 жыл бұрын
Hi Joy. Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. Colours tend to go muddy when using too many different colours, better to stick to a limited pigment choices. And paper is veeeery important and law quality papers can't handle many layers therefore gets overworked. As you will see I haven't completely settled on the editing style yet so thank you very much for your opinion, it is very important . I am very happy to have you here :)
@joykruczay2 жыл бұрын
@@eglekolevart Wow, what a fast reply! Yes, I forgot to mention the importance of paper. I feel it is the most important thing for a beginner to spend the extra money on better paper. One can get very frustrated using poor quality paper.

@@joykruczay you are very right. Paper is arguably the most important tool for a successful watercolor painting.

Background voice is very distracting making your precise instructions impossible to be heard. It sounds like two radio stations accidentally mixing.
