Another great video. Can I ask why the ceiling wasn't painted before the tiling and installation of sanitary ware etc? Thanks

The ceiling had a mist coat before the sanitary ware and the tiling was done, and when after this was fitted, we gave it another two coats of the durable. The reason for this is, when our tiler comes in the ceiling can get soiled and marked. Many thanks Sam. Take care bud 😎👍

@@englishmanfr1937 when using durable Matt, you always mist coat with the durable Matt, as it soak in and doesn't sit on top of the plaster. If you use contract Matt as a mist coat, wiped your hand over it, your get a deposit on your hand. So when you put durable Matt on top it delaminate, and that's exactly what occurred. 25years? I been doing it 45years, I was being sarcastic. You ask yourself, if you got a chalky surface, what would you do? It would be like putting emulsion on top of whitewash. He was wondering why he was having problems. It's a no, no, an irrefutable fact that can't be disputed, but lots of decorators do it, it as to be like for like, seal or remove, so why not do it the correct way in the first place, especially in a bathroom where there's water vapour.

Do you remove the tape when the paint is still wet? Also is this tape suitable just for emulsion paints? Thanks.

How do you apply the tape so that it doesn't pull the dried paint from underneath once you've pealed it all back?

What grade/ make of sandpaper do you find best for rubbing down?

It really depends on what you are rubbing down as well as the condition of the surface. As a rule of thumb, you should start with a corse grit (possibly 80g) and then move up through the grades. The higher the number, the finer the grit. Hope this helps. All the best, John 😊
