This is making me nostalgic. Badly! xD Never got around to picking up a proper Steam Tank back in 5th or 6th edition WFB. Too busy with Dark Elves, then O&G hordes, then Lizardmen (all of which now make up part of my 'Grey/metak PoS'). lol But Bretonians and Empire always had a nice aesthetic to them that I loved, just could never commit to! ^_^

Not if you fill and sand it. All part of the modeling hobby buddy. Still has more charm than any AOS release.

I'm not sure the steam tank will be around for CoS much longer, it has already disappeared from the CoS part of the online store (along with empire general/wizard kit). Hope something good replaces them if they are indeed gone from AoS for good.

That model actually comes from Warhammer fantasy before it was dropped and replaced by AoS. The kit is exactly the same as it was before, just that now it seems to have been moved right back to the original Old World setting (can't even find the kit in the CoS section of the online store). The question remains: what will replace it in AoS?

I've just realized from watching this video that The Empire hats were inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow and Moulin Rogue and I want one. This for me is a good reference for my Steam Tank when I get it in Jan 25, there's also an old White Dwarf issue (circa October 2001) when this version (I think) of the Steam Tank was first launched with lots of good painting inspiring material.

Technically he is wearing the wrong hat. That is a napolionic ferench english style hat where as the empire hats are based on lanshreck... ive deffonetly spelt that wrong but it's the hats the fancy German mercenaries wore during the middle ages. Theres an old empire book pdf floating about with everything you need. Off the top of my head I thinks it's something like arms and armour of the empire, I think.

@@honda1st1 Oh you mean 'Warhammer Uniforms & Heraldry of The Empire' ? That's a classic book, great reference guide for paint schema for your The Empire army if you want to be accurate to the lore.
