​@@beardedchampion4321 They are visually incredibly heavily inspired by the French. The very thick German flavoring, at least for the visuals, is mostly a community thing afaik. That's not a knock against anyone or anything. I just think it's really interesting.

What is the differance between thinning contrast paints with contrast medium or lahmian medium?

Lahmian Medium is just normal acrylic medium. Contrast Medium is similar to Lahmian, but also has flow improver and acrylic retardant, keeping the Contrast paint's effects.

@@xxNoble10xx Don't listen to him. All acrylic medium has some sort of flow improver and retardant. It just depends on the ratios. But there is a difference between the two and if you're thinning down contrast, please use contrast medium.

If we are unable to get a can of Mechanicus Standard Grey (due to location) but are able to secure a pot of Mechanicus Standard Grey. What brush technique for the base coat would you recommend?

It's not quite the same colour or effect, but we would recommend applying in thin layers using a normal layering technique.
