Core set complete, sweet! So excited to get my own copies painted in this style :D Thank you so much for your hard work on these Sorastro! I played warhammer and warmachine for about 15 years and used my own paint schemes for the majority of that time. I completely left the mini wargaming hobby for a few years (switched over to boardgames), and the picked some mini painting back up last summer when I bought imperial assault. I painted all the Imperial Assault core box minis using your scheme and it was so refreshing to paint from a guide. I used to have a heck of a time deciding upon a paint scheme, and I always felt this arbitrary pressure to be unique or align with the style I tended to prefer. Using your scheme took all that guesswork out and just let me focus on the enjoyment of painting and trying new techniques. Fast forward to Shatterpoint and I decided to continue using your schemes. Again, it's been super fun to follow your guides and just enjoy painting. Keep up the great work, and thank you for your dedication to painting this game!

I used a red metallic paint on mine just because I wanted to try it out. It looks pretty good, but next to yours look phoned in. This method of jet pack flames has quickly become my go to though, so quick and always looks great.

I just starting going back to watch your videos since I'm starting painting again and I'm going to paint ISS Vanguard and the minis there are scifi with armor and one even got a jetpack that will be a great inspiration. I am using this tutorial to paint my Legion Gar Saxon and Mandalorian Super Commandos. I went with the two coats of contrast on the armor for the Super Commandos as well as Gar Saxon. Looks awesome! I found that one coat didn't look good.

Hi! Honestly, just use whatever paints you do have access to - Vallejo, ProAcryl, GW even.. 😀
