30. Seriously. I started to learn how to draw and then paint realistically in 1983 when I was a freshman in high school. I was an art teacher during my twenties and thirties, but I was always painting in the summer, and obviously I had to come up with projects for my students and demonstrate how to do them. Teaching is the best way to learn how to do something inside and out. I've been painting full time for three years now, and it's usually 6-7 hours per day.

I just wanted to tell you that you are such an inspiration to me! Your voice is so soothing, and it's so obvious that you are knowledgable on the topics you cover! It makes it so much easier for beginners like me to follow along with tutorials like yours!

I've been drawing and painting since i was able to pick up and use a pencil. I've learned how to draw eyes and noses to the point where people at school are poking it and asking if it's real. I'm only 12 years old and your tutorials have helped me so much and cause of you I've made 10 new paintings within 2 weeks!! thank you so much and keep up the posting and glorious work!!

90 minutes, she means actual painting time. Not the drawing, masking, waiting for the paint and paper to dry completely, removing the masking, etc... That should help everyone who feels discouraged, watching this amazing artist.

You can buy 'erasers' made from crepe rubber specifically for removing masking fluid; they look like a bit of plastic from a rubber shoe sole. (If you're searching for one on an online art supply store, try using the keywords "crepe rubber cement pickup".) Erasers will also take it off, but they'll also erase the pencil lines you might have. I can't stress it enough: removing the fluid is UTTERLY SATISFYING AND SO, SO FUN!

Paula Ospina I'm not being mean or anything but, oil has a totally different consistency compared to watercolors, but yeah I do guess some of the colour mixing thing may apply to oil.

Why can't people pay attention while watching AND listening to the video... Seriously, I facepalm when people ask questions that are already answered in the video. The white fluid she uses to keep parts of the paper white is called MASKING FLUID. If you can't get masking fluid, you can always try to draw over the painted parts with a white uni-ball signo gel pen, works just as fine. I learned this from AgnesCecile, she does paintings on YT too, her art is more on the darker and emotional side so you can check her out! However the gel pen will probably work better for finer areas because it's only 0.5mm. When there's a will there's a way :p

ikr i just feel like pulling my hair out all those questions like HRCWIURGWLKJGD "Where do you get supplies from?" "What brush do you use?" "What watercolor paper brand is that?" BRO IT'S IN THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION /flips table

+Carmen Leong i love using a white gel pen/white acrylic/tempura, but thats kinda different than how shes using the masking fluid here. Here, she doesn't jus keep the white paper white, she keeps it white and then paints on it later. White pen/opaque white paint is great, but it wouldnt be interchangeable with how shes using the masking fluid. i've tried watercoloring over white acrylic/pen many times, it always turns out murky with no lightfastness, looking like even more of a mistake than whatever I'm trying to cover up. I also love agnescecile!

Hi, I loved this video but, I have an important question I was wondering if you can answer? Why is it I am told that black can ruin a watercolor, I was told not to use them so I haven't, maybe I should play around with it and see if I like it, But why am I told that I shouldn't use black watercolor on a watercolor painting ect.
@pebblestone37448 жыл бұрын
+meo daycore It's probably because black is hard to remove when you use it (by removing I mean lifting it with water then dabbing). There's nothing wrong with using black though just be very cautious :)
