This guide is so amazing, mostly because it works years later because it doesn’t use lamenters yellow, but also because you don’t need an airbrush to make a bright yellow! Thank you so much

I have not yet but if you were to paint an Imperial Fists vehicle using this technique I would recommend using masking tape to prime parts that are going to be silver or black first and paint those, then mask those off and prime with the army painter spray on the yellow parts. That way you will be able to paint the yellow parts quite easily

Hopefully you see this when I apply the cassandora yellow to my primed models They turn out having a orange color instead of the yellow that you got. Could that be due to too much paint on my brush or something else?
@PeteTheWargamer6 жыл бұрын
What primer are you using? When I made this video I had a slightly bad batch of Zandri Dust which resulted in a lighter colour than what most other people had so my advice on using Zandri Dust instead was a little misguided. If you did use zandri dust, go over the model with some Rakarth Flesh and then you should be able to apply the cassandora yellow again. If you used the skeleton bone, then it's likely that you have maybe applied a little too much wash in one go.
@ariossteiner97406 жыл бұрын
@@PeteTheWargamer I used the Skeleton bone primer. I suspect It may have been too much wash. Is there any particular brush type that you would recommend that I apply the cassandora yellow with, as currently the only shade brush I posses the is citadel medium shade brush

I know this is an old vid but I wanted to use this technique on my Iyanden as I think the yellows pretty spot on. I only ask as slapping that all on a Wraithknight could lead to some blotches. Cheers dude!

I've have pretty good experiences using washes through an airbrush. Just keep your pressure low and maybe thin it down just a little bit.

Excellent work! Have you tried this on larger surfaces, like vehicles? I'd love to try that technique for an army, but I am worried about the prospect of using a wash to try to cover a Land Raider evenly...
@PeteTheWargamer8 жыл бұрын
I've not tried it on vehicles yet so I would be reluctant to comment definitively. I would say that if you were to go down the wash route then thin it down with lahmian medium and apply several thin layers to build up the yellow. This should help to avoid streaking but you may find yourself with a less than perfectly even tone. It shouldn't be a problem though unless you are going for a pristine result.

I get a yellow that reflects a lot the light, glanzig effect and i dont like it eather xD. Great video, I wish i could paint like you some day.
@PeteTheWargamer7 жыл бұрын
So it sounds like it could be a couple of things. If the Cassandora Yellow hasn't been shaken up properly before use, the pigment and the medium can separate resulting in shiny surfaces or uneven coverage. Alternatively, it could be that you haven't watered down the mixture enough. Hopefully, that helps you out :)
