@@humanblockhead5726 No it doesn't. Not if you wax it. For anyone who wants to know, chalk-painting a chair - leather _or_ fabric - does *_not_* come off on your clothes, and is absolutely durable. Find a tutorial from an expert - I recommend either _Annie Sloan_ or _Jonathon Marc Mendes_ YT channels for top tips from people who've been doing it for years and know chalk paint inside out, and know exactly how to apply it. Annie Sloan *invented* chalk paint 30 years ago and there's nothing she doesn't know about it.

You should have lightly sanded it to knock the shine down then wipe with 99% isopropyl alcohol, then paint.

I do so agree... often morphine makes me too woozy to work out where to go next to view finished piece; I feel poster could say 'in 2 parts and 2 places' or whatever; then I'd choose another demo. I agree! Who wants to buy a product and not see the end results? Why go somewhere else to see the finished product on some other site? I personally would rather see a part 2 or part 3 on the same site. Also to much talking and it is annoying as I came here to just get the facts of how to paint a leather chair. I would have probably bought the Weather Vane paint if I had actually saw a Part 2/3 (fast forwarding through the nonsense.)It seems as a lot of the Dixie Belle Retailers/Ambassadors do the same video layout.....talk to much about things that don’t apply to the topic...such as hot dogs. Don’t get me wrong I love Dixie Belle Paints ( and love the creativity ) But it seems as they all have trouble focusing their cameras and they talk to some one on their live videos throughout ....and this video is laid out the same way as where the husband and wife are constantly chatting off topic. It is fine to hear some personal interjections...but throughout the whole video? Also don’t like cut, copy and pasted responses on comments. Seems so insincere!

It is so easy to flip the nails out first with a screw driver and then nail them back in after with a small hammer.

I need help in working out how to paint a vinyl recliner. I've done vinyl painting successfully in the past, but not something that is soft and 'squishy'. I'm using Fusion Mineral Paint and I'm concerned about the bits that are touching: the sides that touch on to the seat, the head rest, etc. Any ideas? Thx loads for your great tutes.

Hello Tracie, I tried to look at the colors of the paint all, but it would not come up, I asked several questions, I forgot to ask the price I need a lighter color so it don't look so dark, myend tables enteraiment center is a cherry brown, I don't want toopaint them just a leather couch and a leather recliner!

it ends up looking like anything that is hand painted - if you like that child did it - then it's for you- otherwise it won't ever look like it was done originally - some places this will work is places that smell like ASH TRAYS or nothing matches

Hello Stephanie! I love that this video is still going strong! It seems like ages ago. The line that I used during this video I am no longer using. It was a great paint... but I found Dixie Belle and there was no turning back for me! I was hooked!!! But the great thing is that Dixie Belle has two blacks to choose from.
