In this video, I take you through how to paint Blackbolt from Marvel Crisis Protocol.
I have covered how to paint the base stones in some of my previous videos. I've linked them below if you want to check out the step-by-step for those.

I love that airbrush glazing trick. I need to do more of that.

i love how you used the green to highlight the black. i would have just used blue and black, but you taught me a different way that has amazing results. Thank you!

Black is one of those tricky colors that it takes a lot of work to make look good (especially to get the pop you need from the tabletop distance), but you also have a lot of freedom to mix and match colors. Black is one of those that takes on a lot of tonal variations based on objects and lighting around them, so you could use pretty much any color to help spice up that black!

Second this! I've seen grey or navy ish color to highlight black, but green highlight is something new.

I like seeing the use of AK paints. I really wish I could find them locally. I'd love to give them a try.

Honestly, Vallejo is still a very good mainstay and if you have access to that, their paint range is excellent (especially now that they've released their new Game color range with matte finish)

Perfect timing, that black is what I want for my Morat army. And the spritz bottle for mineral spirits im trying next time I use some powder!

Nice! I wish I had the mental capacity for another main game like Infinity. That and they need plastic models.

Coming from instagram, and also I'm in Toronto. Curious what spray fixer did you use in video? I used liquid one with brush but spray seems to work better and easier.

I'm just using mineral spirits in a spritzer bottle. You could probably use any liquid fixer (assuming it isn't too viscous) and load it into a spritzer bottle (buy on Amazon) and it'll do the trick!

How long did the model take you to paint? Looks great

This one? Probably 6-ish hours? The black suit was fairly quick, but the white detailing and all the extra rocks on the base definitely added back the time.
