Yesterday I painted the bird/fence/tulip picture. I was thrilled with the results. It is only my 4th painting and I thought it turned out fairly well. My husband liked it too. I love your videos. Been painting now for several months and have painted several of them. This one I painted this morning and love the way it turned out. Did not do the background you did though. Went out and bought a few 12 x 16 canvas panels and will start painting them larger than I have been. Keep doing more videos, I learn a lot from them. 😃💖💖

Hey! Love this picture! Quick question, after painting dries completely, do you spray it with some kind of fixative or topcoat to protect it?

Hi Susan, I usually do not seal my paintings, because when acrylic paint fully cures, it is very durable. However, I do sometimes seal/varnish my paintings for esthetic purposes to bring all of the sheens together. I prefer to use a spray (Grumbacher or Golden) or liquid gloss (Liquitex) varnish. I hope this helps. Have fun painting!
