Great video. Looks amazing. Just a heads. Up Daniel, you mentioned in one of your previous video's about Goodhome durable matt that you rated highly but had been discontinued. They have it back in stock. Used it on a job yesterdayl, white over white so not sure about opacity but went on well 👍

Fantastic mate. I use Tikkurila High Performance Vinyl Matt now in white and in wet areas I would use Optiva 5 by Tikkurila Optiva is not as good in covering like the vinyl matt but it has a higher class scrub rating as its durable and the vinyl has a class 2 scrub rating which is still good

hi mate i just visted a customer now with painting there kitchen units ect but one off doors the plastic film is bubbling off how would you go about with problom?

Hi mate If you can try and cut them blisters out. Sometimes the whole thing can come off as it's a vinyl wrap kitchen. But try that first.

Doors and units as I went along as once I have taken a door off I then paint the unit and put the door back on. It's all waterbased so very quick drying

Hi Daniel, what roller would you normally use for internals doors, skirting boards and trim as I’ve got an old house with all pine doors and woodwork and found using a 5mm nap didn’t apply enough paint and ended up using a 10mm instead. I understand the logic of using a short pile on kitchen doors but would that also apply if you were painting mdf skirting.

Hi. I use a medium sometimes for undercoating. So Fussy Blokes Rollers are good the green end ones as they are medium pile. I find the Arroworthy ones are good too as they are labeled short medium and long pile

Hi, I think I’ve finally cracked it, as I was so frustrated with the finish I was trying to achieve. I was originally using a 5mm (red) fussy blokes roller for both haftprimer and then 2 coats of PU Satin in white but found the opacity terrible. As soon as I used the 10mm nap, it’s like chalk and cheese, the finish is incredible. I haven’t tried using 10mm for the primer and 5mm for the topcoat which may also work because your laying down more paint for the primer. Even after contacting Paintshack. they still recommend the 5mm for all doors and woodwork. It may be fine if your using a colour but with white it doesn’t work. I’ve come to the conclusion that a 10mm Microfibre for any white paint, is the way to go.

You can but remember the etch primer maybe touch dry but takes about a week to cure fully. I sometimes use the Otex etch primer by Tikkurila as its solvent based and also very quick drying

Hi Yes I just cleaned them down. No need to sand if using an etch primer I would say touch dry in 30 mins but quicker if you have a heater on. Takes about a week to cure fully

Usually I can work out a price based on a day rate plus materials so it can vary Everyone has a different rate so it's hard to gauge

@@geoffreymeare3406 only on woodwork. Walls and ceilings I use 6.5 inch wooster jumbo koter Super Fab on walls and wooster Cirrus x on ceilings. If I have to use 9 inch I use wooster micro fibre on walls and ceilings up to 14 inch for ceilings or the big Cirrus X
