I thought I already knew how to use watercolor... and all it's tricks...I realize I don't! that dry technique, which you use a lot, I don't usually use it, and I loved it! because you can give it texture😮 I didn't know that! I like your technique, because you control the water you use, I had a teacher who also likes to have control of water, but not like you. Kristine, thank you for teaching us what you know about watercolors and tricks, and dedicating your time to do this! it's amazing how the pumpkins turned out! 🥰❤️

Thank you for this lovely comment! Watercolors is a very amazing medium and super versatile. You can get super airy, dreamy, and fluffy result or very saturated and textured. So many opportunities and ways to work with watercolors. I’m still learning and exploring this medium. And sharing all with you 🥰👍

Beautiful. Ive been trying to darken orange but having difficulties. I just tried adding the Perelyn Maroon like you used in the yellow and it worked beautifully. Thank you. I never would have thought of using that. I tried using blues (opposites) but didnt work at all. I would love if you could do a video of what colours can be used to darken other colours, and why ? (apart from complimentary). thanks again.

It is tricky with yellows. But for other pigments it is much easier - I’m making a mix and paint with layers. Each layer is making everything a bit darker and more intense
