Very nice work, very different to many other tutorials. I particularly like the way you make the freehand part look easy, I could make a video showing how hard I could make it, without even trying.Thanks

Great instructional video. Nice to see blending in real time instead of the usual 'speed paint' versions, and also using a brush, like most of us have! :)

Seems like you are putting a lot of paint onto the figure at the start. How do you prevent covering of details?
@aythamialonsotorrent9037 жыл бұрын
Hi Thaddeus, I take thin layers of paint mixed with water to prevent this

Hello I know the Video is quite old but can you Tell me what colors do you use I want to buy them because I m gonna paint some DAK too. Thank you very much and thank you for this awesome Tutorial.
@aythamialonsotorrent9034 жыл бұрын
Hi! thanks for your words. I cannot remember de exact colors but this is an advice. Get the primary ones and start mixing them with white and black to create your own tones. For example, to create the green of the jacket, just mix blue and yellow and then create 6 different tones of that green adding whites, grey, blacks, oranges, ivory, etc. It's a really good exercise to practice color comprehension. Cheers!

why would you paint shadows?? when you put a light on it you get them for free
@aythamialonsotorrent9036 жыл бұрын
M Goudsmits 金马桥 to make a more contrast work. In areas like underneath the knees needs wrinckles in shadow color. Best way to know it is experimenting
@MGoudsmits6 жыл бұрын
I know why they do it but actually in real life that is not the case and with a good light you also get the shades as they should be. So I find it always a bit over the top if you get my drift but still nice job
@aythamialonsotorrent9036 жыл бұрын
I now understand you. Let me try to explain. As you say, if we put a figure underneath a light the proper volumetry will show all lights and shadows the sculptor has work. This should be good if we paint for example the pants, in only one color and let the natural or artificial light do the work. But in my opinion this works poorly compared to directly painting on the figure like you were drawing on a piece of paper. Thats the way i see the world of painting figures, to “invent” and “sculpt” with paint trying to guide the eye of the viewer wherever you want and exagerating areas and forms. Is like painting a portait. For example, creating a more contrast work with the trousers we are talking about. The world of painting figures is similar to the ilustration, but instead of painting on a 2D paper or computer we work on a 3D figure. Hope i explained well. Regards,
