After painting the horses of Rohan for last week's Middle Earth Monday video, we finally get to see the full models together, all based up and with their all important riders! I chose three different models to show you how to paint the different weapons and shields, whether you're painting the Warriors on foot, or the riders on horseback, the steps will be the same! Chaos Black
Grey Seer
FAQ:Adding a light spray of Grey Seer over a full coat of black primer adds a small amount of texture to the primer which gives the contrast paint more to grip on to. It also adds light and shadows which helps define the model more.

The Rohan Riders look great! My Son's army is Gondor,and he still has those minis,though I sold off all of the metal Knight of Dol Amroth and Prince Imarhil.

7:17 OK as someone who has close to 50 painted riders and 100 infantry, I found the method and end result very pleasing and can see myself using it for my Pelennor set. Next model I think should be a Morannon Orc, you've done the good infantry now do the evil. Yes the different coloured shields denote different Rider Hosts. My personal favourite is Erkenbrand, the Red Shield. Ad his title suggests his shield and those of his followers are red with a white U shaped horse, the design the axe guy you painted has. Bonus differences between Rider Hosts can be the cloth under the saddle and even the colour of their leather, Riders who follow Eomer often incorporate dark red to match his ornate armour.
