How to paint Ruins of Osgiliath (Gondor Ruins)

In this short video I'll be using a quick and easy method of painting up part of the ruins of Osgiliath (Gondor Ruins) from the Battle of Osgiliath box. It's absolutely stunning terrain, and this simple method will get it looking great on the tabletop.

Looking good Rob, it’s nice to see non-grimdark scenery, I’m used to drowning scenery with a dark wash!

I've been test painting this on some old ruins while I wait for my Osgiliath to arrive. One thing I am hugely disappointed about is that it will only let me like the video once. Easy to do and such a nice result, thanks heaps!

Great job! But... I think the 1st layer of Apoth White contrast should have been applied with a brush 2x bigger at least. Or you can use one of the big makeup brushes.

Cheers shauns, very much appreciated! :) Use whatever brush suits when painting. :) I only had that size as the biggest in my painting arsenal, but by all means go with bigger if you have it! :)

Amazing video thanks for posting. I have white scar primer, is that too bright for the ruins?

Cheers Daniel, very much appreciated! :) I think white scar should be fine, once the shade goes on it dulls it down and the drybrushing just highlights :)

When you're making/assembling this - super glue or plastic glue?

Hey John, thanks for watching. :) I've been using plastic glue. I usually use Tamiya Extra Thin cement (super strong smell so open a window!), or the citadel thin plastic glue with the little tube. For this one I was using army painter plastic glue because I'd ran out of the others.:)

Hi Nick, thanks for watching! It was either TT Combat or Colour Forge white spray can possibly Halfords white primer. I can’t remember which, though I’ve used them all at some point :)
