My man, you've really helped me actual utilize zbrush more instead of doing everything in maya or marvelous thank you. On topic as far as hand painting do most people just paint the face or do they paint the body and clothes as well?

Can we use the same techniques for other body parts? For example the arm? We know which areas of the arm may have fat and which muscle ( no bone ). Would it be colored the same way?
@Follygon3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's very similar. The main idea stays the same.

Isn't the blue at the lower part supposed to be just for men? Because they shave in that area and that make it slightly blueish? I don't think it's good for women.
@Follygon5 жыл бұрын
colors will definitely be more warm and light towards the lower half of female faces

I thought the blue needs toning down too. She looked far too male.

Why would you add blue on a female face? Usually, blue is the undertone of hair follicles and women don't have thick hair follicles on the face like that

He's just using the colors in prime hues so you learn. Watch the end of the vid.... there are 2 other versions he shows....

First of all, congratulations on the tutorial, very informative. However, I need to point out a mistake in the choice of colors. Although the chin area in humans is cooler, in women this area is not completely delimited in blue. They are only specific points, otherwise they will have a shaved mark. The areas to be painted blue (a lighter blue, not as intense as the one used in the video) are the philtrum (above the upper lip), the corners of the lips (next to the mouth) and the mental groove (below the lower lip). I've been a painter for over 30 years... Well, that's it, I hope I helped.
