Another one of my monthly submissions for the Clip Studio Paint TIPS of the month! I always have fun doing them as I get challenged to learn new things in order to make a video. Here, I get to use my physics degree (yes, that's a flex) to explain some light behaviour and how it can apply to painting objects and scenes from crystal balls to lakes.

I've been trying to paint material spheres in CSP but I was having trouble understanding the way light worked on translucent objects. I'm so glad I found this video. Thank you for explaining the Fresnel effect so clearly. Now I can think through where the reflection and refraction is likely to be on my own rather than just relying on references. You're a life saver!
